Jio ₹15 unlimited 5G data pack: What you get, validity and eligibility explained
Reliance Jio has introduced a new ₹15 data pack offering unlimited 5G internet for 24 hours. According to an informal announcement note, the pack is available across India through the MyJio app, Jio’s website, retail stores and third-party recharge platforms.
The offer would give customers a low-cost option for using large amounts of mobile data for a single day.
What does Jio’s ₹15 unlimited 5G pack offer?
The announcement note lists a one-day data pack with the following benefits:
- Price: ₹15
- Validity: 24 hours
- Data: Unlimited high-speed 5G
- Availability: All telecom circles across India
- Recharge: MyJio, Jio.com, retail outlets and partner platforms
The proposed pack targets customers who need extra data for downloading large files, streaming videos, gaming or working remotely.
Who can use the new Jio data pack?
Customers with compatible 5G smartphones and access to Jio’s 5G network would be the most likely beneficiaries.
For instance, someone downloading a large game update or backing up photographs could find a one-day pack useful.
Under Jio’s existing rules, unlimited 5G generally requires an eligible recharge offering at least 2GB of daily data. Whether the reported ₹15 pack changes that requirement is unclear.
How does it compare with Airtel and Vi?
Airtel currently lists a ₹49 one-day unlimited data pack. It offers unlimited 5G benefits through selected regular prepaid plans, including a ₹349 recharge with 28-day validity.
Vodafone Idea also offers additional data and 5G benefits through eligible plans, with availability depending on the telecom circle.
At ₹15, Jio’s reported offering would be cheaper than Airtel’s ₹49 one-day unlimited data voucher.
