AP Home Minister Anitha Reviews Cyclone Relief Efforts

Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has assured cyclone-affected residents that the state government will support them, saying officials had managed two cyclones within a week.

On Wednesday, Anitha reviewed relief operations at the AP Secretariat and held a teleconference with district collectors in affected areas, issuing instructions on the response.

She said assistance was being delivered promptly and that relief work had been stepped up across 465 villages in seven districts threatened by the cyclone.

Anitha thanked Union Home Minister Amit Shah for arranging the prompt deployment of central teams, following an initiative by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. She also urged residents and farmers to remain alert during periods of heavy rain and flooding.
