GV Prakash Kumar calls Ravi Teja’s ‘Irumudi’ a trend-setter in Telugu cinema

Music composer GV Prakash Kumar has called Irumudi a trend-setter film in Telugu cinema. He has also called it one of his favorite film starring Ravi Teja. Directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Irumudi is all set to release on August 21.

While speaking at a press conference recently, GV Prakash opened up about his association with the film. He said, “When Shiva Nirvana narrated the story to me, I was simply amazed by the uniqueness. It is a psychologically intense thriller with devotion, crime, action, and family drama.

It had a scope for good background score. I tried to bring out various layers in each character and situation through background score. As the title suggests, there was a scope for multiple twists and turns, which I have attempted in the film. I hope the film wins many National Awards including the Best Regional Film and Best Child Artist Award.”

The music composer further added, “Each of the five songs in the film is intrinsic to the narration. I believe ‘Yalalo’ is a special song. However, ‘Mallepolla Pallaki’, a devotional song has its own unique space. Notably, the creators have taken permission from the singer to retain the track as it was loved by many fans.

On the acting front, he showered praise on Ravi Teja, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Baby Nakshatra, and Sai Kumar. He further added, “After Vikramarkudu, this is my favorite Ravi Teja starrer.Calling the film “very different from Shiva’s previous films”, GV Prakash said the audiences will enjoy watching Irumudi, which has the potential to be a trend-setter in Telugu cinema.
