Deepika Bags Another Big Role

Right now, Deepika Padukone is facing both rejections and blockbuster opportunities at the same time. After bagging a massive hit with the Kalki movie, she was supposed to be part of the sequel too. But Deepika tried to balance her motherhood and career at the same time. This made her lose Kalki 2 and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit movies. As per sources, she tried to convince the makers for an 8-hour shift to give equal importance to her family as a new mother. But this didn’t work out and thus she had to move away from these most-awaited movies.

Anyway, she bagged another major opportunity with Allu Arjun and Atlee’s Raaka. Although there are four other heroines in this movie, Deepika plays the lead role and reportedly, she has reportedly completed her portions as she is expecting her second baby anytime soon!

But now, another golden opportunity is on the way. If the sources are to be believed, she will be part of Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra 2. As of now, Ranbir is busy with Ramayan part 2 shooting. If everything goes according to plan, he will wrap it up by January 2027. So, Ayan is planning begin the shooting by April, 2027. Till then, Deepika will also deliver her second baby and will have enough time to prepare for the role.

It is all known that Ranbir will be seen as both Shiva and Dev in the sequel. So, Alia Bhatt as Isha is already introduced as Shiva’s love interest and now Deepika will be seen as Shiva’s mother. So, this amazing multi-starrer will turn into the most-awaited super hero movie once it goes on the sets.

Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra 2 will expand the Astraverse universe and also holds a few elements of Indian mythology.
