Commerical LPG cylinder prices reduced by over Rs. 200

Hotels, restaurants, and other commercial establishments have received some relief. Oil marketing companies announced on Saturday a price reduction of over ₹200 for 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders. It is well known that prices had previously risen due to the conflict involving Iran and tensions in West Asia; those prices are now being gradually reduced.

Notably, this marks the second consecutive price cut in recent times. It may be recalled Commercial cylinder prices were reduced by ₹183 in July and by another ₹202 today. The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi dropped by ₹202 to ₹2,728, while in Kolkata, it fell by ₹209 to ₹2,872.50.

The price cut applies only to commercial LPG cylinders; there have been no changes to the prices of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders. As a result, ordinary families have not received any relief this time around.
