‘CJP will back every demand’: Abhijeet Dipke on student protests in Jharkhand

Chatrapati Sambhajinagar: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke declared his organisation’s support for protesting students in Jharkhand and said that youth movement will work to demand accountability from the administration . Speaking to reporters, he said that CJP members will visit Jharkhand to back protesters who have been in protests in Ranchi since July 29.

Since last few days, several job aspirants have been staging a protest in the Jharkhand capital. They have been demanding probe in the alleged irregularities in the JPSC and other recruitment examinations in the state by an independent panel of retired HC judges.

‘People have lost faith in judiciary, politics, media and EC’

“People have lost faith in the judiciary, politics, media and the Election Commission. Our agitation received nationwide support. As the agitation grew, the support was not merely limited to education issues, it was also about these institutions. Hence, to bring accountability in these institutions, there is a need for a public pressure group,” Dipke said as per news agency PTI.

Pointing out that the group will support protesters in Jharkhand, he added, “We will definitely go to Jharkhand, we will stand with them and support their every demand in the agitation.” When asked about CJP team meeting, he added, “The agitation at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi drew a nationwide response. The responsibility on us has increased, and people’s expectations from us have grown”.

“In this meeting, we will decide how the organisation should grow and also outline a rough road map for the future.” Dipke said further. Sharing further details, CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das said that activist Sonam Wangchuk will continue to remain their mentor.

He added that the group would continue pushing for withdrawal of FIRs against students who participated in recent protests led by the CJP against the NEET paper leak. “”We are talking with government representatives on this issue,” he added.
