Critical mineral is that essential mineral which is very important for clean energy. Its great need is seen in electric vehicles. Along with this, there is a huge demand for it in advanced manufacturing and defense sector. These minerals like lithium, cobalt, graphite are called critical minerals which are absolutely essential for future technology. Without these, further technology is incomplete. And now the purpose of building observatories of India and Britain is to keep the supply chain of these minerals safe. This means that tomorrow if any country wants to do whatever it wants, it can be stopped and these resources of the world will not have to be risked. India and UK have signed an agreement to properly maintain the supply chain of critical minerals. With this, relations between India and Britain are now based on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and 2030 Road Map.
