Pothole claims life of TDRF Jawan residents demand immediate road repairs

New Delhi: A 31 year old jawan of the Thane Disaster Response Force TDRF Vikas Lahu Gore lost his life in a road accident after his bike hit a large pothole on the Mumbai Nashik Highway officials said.

The accident took place near the Bharangi River bridge in Shahapur taluka. Vikas who was from Bamne village was riding his Royal Enfield bike to work when the incident happened.

Rescue worker dies after pothole crash as public demands safer roads

Officials said he lost balance after his bike struck a pothole on the highway and then crashed into the road divider.People living nearby quickly took him to the Shahapur sub district hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

Vikas Gore had recently put his own life at risk while rescuing people during the Kohinoor building collapse in Bhiwandi. The death of the brave rescue worker has left many people angry. Local residents are now demanding that dangerous potholes on the Mumbai Nashik Highway should be repaired and filled without any delay.
