Commonwealth Games 2026 India schedule: Full fixture list, timings and medal events on August 2

New Delhi: India jumped to fourth place in the Commonwealth Games 2026 medal standings after a superb performance on the penultimate day in Glasgow. The contingent has collected 39 medals so far including 13 gold, 17 silver and nine bronze and will be aiming to add a few more before the curtain comes down on Sunday.

Saturday turned into India’s biggest day of the Games, with the boxing team producing a record-breaking campaign. The country finished on top of the boxing medal table with seven gold and three silver medals. Gulveer Singh also created history by winning bronze in the men’s 5000m, becoming the first Indian athlete to claim two athletics medals at a single Commonwealth Games after his earlier silver in the 10,000m.

The final day offers India another chance to finish the Games on a positive note. The focus will be on judo where Ishroop Narang, Avtar Singh and Yash Ghanghas begin their campaigns in the Round of 16 and could progress to the medal rounds later in the day if they keep winning. Their performances could add more medals to India’s tally before the Games conclude.

Track cycling will also be in the spotlight with Harshveer Singh Sekhon and Dinesh Kumar competing in the men’s 40km points race qualifiers while Ronaldo Singh Laitonjam will contest the men’s 1000m time trial final. Lisha Das will represent India in the women’s C4-C5 1000m time trial in para track cycling. The Commonwealth Games 2026 will then officially come to an end with the closing ceremony in Glasgow.
