‘Father almost lynched’: Family of Delhi cops injured at CJP protest at Jantar Mantar

New Delhi: The family of a Delhi Police officer injured during the recent student protest has alleged that he was nearly lynched by a mob while carrying out his duty at Jantar Mantar. Speaking at a press briefing organised by relatives of Delhi Police personnel, the officer’s daughter said the incident has left her father unconscious at home and has deeply affected their family.

She said her father had been deployed at the main protest venue and was positioned on the frontline near the barricades to help maintain law and order.
