New Delhi: OpenAI’s first dedicated AI hardware device is slowly taking shape, with a new leak offering the clearest look yet at what users can expect. The new ChatGPT-enabled gadget may come as a “doughnut-shaped, screen-free, smart speaker”, according to Bloomberg.

LoveFrom, the design company that was founded by former Apple design chief Jony Ive, is reportedly developing the device. At this time, OpenAI has not provided any official confirmation, but the report indicates that the business is developing a mobile AI buddy that is not based on a display but rather voice.

Compact design with AI-focused hardware

The device will likely be the size of an ice hockey puck and easy to carry about the house with one hand, as first reported by Bloomberg. It doesn’t have to be like a conventional smart speaker; it might have movable elements, LED lights, microphones, speaker grills, cameras and sensors that would enable it to be more responsive to its environment. It will also be battery powered, so it can be taken everywhere.
