Apple now offers a discount of up to ₹15,000 on MacBook Pro and Air models

Apple recently increased the prices of its MacBooks and iPads a lot, which made many fans unhappy. Even though the company had reasons for the price increase and said it tried to keep prices low for as long as possible, it ended up being something that could not be avoided. Nobody thought Apple would start giving discounts just a few weeks after they increased the prices. Now Apple’s official website for India is giving discounts of up to ₹15,000 on the MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air models.

Before discussing the offers, it is important to note that these are not direct or flat discounts. The promotions rely entirely on bank partnerships—a common feature of Apple’s sales campaigns throughout the year. There is also no mention of whether these offers are part of the Independence Day sales likely to be hosted by various online and offline retailers. Without further ado, let’s look at the discounted prices.

 

MacBook Pro gets a ₹15,000 discount but remains expensive

Apple is giving a discount of fifteen thousand rupees on the 14-inch MacBook Pro. You can only get this discount if you have a card from American Express. You can also get this discount if you have a card from Axis Bank. You can also get this discount if you have a card from ICICI Bank. So, before you get too excited you should know that the price of this MacBook Pro the one, with the M5 chip starts at two hundred thirty-nine thousand nine hundred rupees. The fifteen-thousand-rupee discount is nice.

The MacBook Pro starts at 2,99,900 rupees for the M5 Pro version, and jumps to 4,99,900 rupees if you go with the M5 Max. The 13-inch MacBook Air is also part of the sale — Apple’s knocking 9,000 rupees off with the same bank cards. The M5 Air is listed at 1,49,900 rupees, so after the discount, you’re looking at 1,40,900 rupees.

If you want a good deal, you can look at Apple’s education promotion. This makes the laptop cost 137,900 rupees. This cheaper price is only for students and teachers. They have to show Apple that they are really students or teachers. They can do this by showing an ID to Apple. This way Apple knows that they are eligible for the education promotion and can buy the laptop for 137,900 rupees.

Is it better to buy or wait for the Independence Day sales?

If you do not have a lot of money to spend, I think it is an idea to wait a day. You might be able to find a deal during the Independence Day sales. Amazon is going to have a sale. It starts on August 7. Amazon has not said which devices will be on sale yet. You should check the Independence Day promotions to see if you can find a deal on the devices you want.

Most online stores usually give discounts on Apple products during big shopping times. It’s not clear if that will happen this year especially since a lot of companies including Apple have increased the prices of their devices to deal with costs of parts like memory. This might make the shopping season harder for the companies and for people buying the products.
