India at Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2026 Highlights, Day 4: India had mixed results in the lawn bowls competition after Mirabai Chanu’s historic gold medal performance. Putul Sonowal suffered another defeat in the men’s singles sectional match, losing to Malta’s Shaun James Parnis. Sonowal was unable to overcome the challenge as Parnis secured the win, adding another setback to India’s lawn bowls campaign.

India’s women’s pairs team of Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki Singh also missed out on a semifinal spot after a dramatic battle against England. The Indian duo won the opening set 4-3 but England fought back strongly to take the second set 9-3, forcing a deciding tie-break. In the final single-end shootout, England placed the bowl closest to the jack to win the tie-break 1-0 and seal the match, ending India’s hopes of progressing further.
