Breaking Bad star Dean Norris and wife Bridget head for divorce amid financial woes

New Delhi: Actor Dean Norris, best known for playing Hank Schrader in the popular series , is reportedly heading for divorce from his wife of more than two decades, Bridget Norris. The development comes as the couple’s restaurant business, Swing Inn Cafe, is also dealing with serious financial difficulties.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Bridget filed for divorce in Riverside County, California, in 2025, citing irreconcilable differences. The news has now brought attention to the couple’s personal life, which they have largely kept away from the public eye over the years.
Dean Norris and Bridget Norris’ Divorce Case: What We Know
The divorce filing reportedly lists October 27, 2001, as the couple’s wedding date and January 15, 2025, as their date of separation. Dean and Bridget share five children together, including two minors, Zoe, 17, and Dean, 16.
In her filing, Bridget has requested joint legal and physical custody of their children. She has also sought spousal support and asked the court to decide how the property acquired during their marriage should be divided. Dean reportedly responded to the divorce petition several months after it was filed. However, the proceedings have not yet been finalised, according to the available court records.
Dean Norris’ Swing Inn Cafe Faces Chapter 11 Bankruptcy
Alongside the divorce proceedings, the couple’s restaurant, Swing Inn Cafe, is facing a separate financial challenge. Located in Temecula, California, the cafe was purchased by Dean and Bridget in 2022. Court records show that the business filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, a process that allows a company to reorganise its debts while continuing operations.
According to the bankruptcy documents, the restaurant saw its gross revenue fall by around $1 million between 2024 and 2025. The company reportedly listed assets worth between $100,000 and $500,000, while its liabilities were estimated to be between $1 million and $10 million. These figures highlight the financial pressure the business is currently facing. However, the documents do not establish a confirmed reason for the drop in revenue.

Away from acting, Dean and Bridget have also been involved in running the Norris Performing Arts Center. The centre, located in Murrieta, California, offers training in performing arts.
For now, both the divorce proceedings and the restaurant’s bankruptcy case remain ongoing. Neither development has been publicly addressed in detail by the couple, who have generally maintained a private approach to their family life.
