Emraan Hashmi returns to horror with Rooh; Tips Films joins 2027 supernatural romance
New Delhi: For Emraan Hashmi’s Rooh, Kumar Taurani and Girissh Kumar of Tips Films and Tips Music have joined hands with the actor. The film is slated for a theatrical release in 2027. Directed by Mayank Sharma, the film promises to bring together horror, romance and soulful music, with emotions forming the core of its narrative.
Presented by Tips Films and produced under the banner of Vicked Films, Rooh will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, aiming to reach audiences across multiple markets. The film is written by Vishal Kapoor and Mayank Sharma and is backed by producers Kumar Taurani, Girissh Kumar, Vikram Khakhar and Sunny Khanna.
The project marks Emraan Hashmi’s return to the horror genre, a space in which he has delivered several memorable performances. Known equally for his association with some of Bollywood’s most popular romantic songs, the actor is set to explore a story that blends supernatural elements with love, longing and emotion.

Interestingly, Rooh also marks a reunion between Emraan and Kumar Taurani, who produced the actor’s debut film Footpath. Their association goes back several years, making this collaboration particularly special.
