Megastar Chiranjeevi And Ram Charan Meet Amit Shah Over AI Deepfake Misuse
It is well known that the growing usage of AI has its own advantages and disadvantages too. Especially the deep fake videos of celebrities are creating havoc on social media. So, taking the issue seriously, Tollywood’s iconic actor Megastar Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Hyderabad yesterday and urged him to take strong measures against the misuse of AI and deepfake technology.
Megastar also confirmed this news through social media and thanked Amit Shah for understanding and assuring that Government will take measures against this issue. Take a look!
This post reads, “It was a privilege to meet the Honourable Union Home Minister, Shri @AmitShah Ji, today. I shared my deep concerns about the misuse of AI and deepfake technologies, which pose a serious threat to artists’ rights, dignity and creative content. He heard our concerns with great understanding and assured us that the Government would examine the matter urgently and work towards introducing stronger safeguards and strict penalties. He also advised us to submit a written representation and entrusted Shri @kishanreddybjp Garu with coordinating the matter. This is an encouraging step for the film fraternity. I am grateful for his assurance and hopeful that meaningful protections will be put in place soon.”

On the whole, this meeting highlighted the needs for effective measures against the deep fake AI videos. So, taking a strict action against them who exploit technology will reduce such incidents. And Amit Shah ji also asked Chiranjeevi and to submit a written representation on this issue and asked G Kishan Reddy to coordinate this matter.
