In a letter to Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, the association sought an impartial review of the film and appropriate corrective action. It argued that portraying corruption as widespread across the medical profession and depicting violence against healthcare workers could undermine public trust and raise concerns about their safety.
The IMA clarified that it does not support unethical medical practices or professional misconduct, but maintained that individual wrongdoing should not damage the reputation of the entire medical community.
Separately, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting clarified that Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak had not been submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) as of October 23.
The film remains scheduled for a November 20 theatrical release, with Suniyo Zara offering audiences their first musical glimpse of the Sunny Deol and Ravi Kishan starrer.
