In a media release issued on Sunday, the TFA said it had been conducting the A Division Rahim League, B Division Shiv Kumar Lal League, C Division League, under-13 and under-15 Youth Leagues, and inter-district State Championships for senior men and women, juniors and sub-juniors. It also conducts AFC D Licence and referees’ courses.
The association said its general body had unanimously decided to organise the Telangana Women’s League (TWL) and an AFC C Licence course during the current season. It had also agreed to provide football kits for grassroots development through summer camps in all districts.
The TFA said it had repeatedly requested the Sports Authority of Telangana (SATG) to release funds, in accordance with its norms, to conduct inter-district championships and coaching camps.
“The General Body has unanimously decided to make a final request to SATG for release of funds or TFA may take necessary legal steps,” the release said.
