Breaking News Live Updates; October 23: The Delhi High Court has rejected the bail plea of Habib-ur-Rehman, who was arrested in 2021 for allegedly passing military intelligence to an official at the Pakistan High Commission. The case was registered under the Official Secrets Act, 1923.

According to the allegations, Rehman possessed sensitive military training documents and confidential material and acted as an intermediary to share military information with the Pakistani official.

The court noted that Rehman had spent more than three years in custody, charges had been framed, and prosecution evidence was being recorded. It observed that delays in trial proceedings could be considered while deciding bail pleas, but the circumstances of the case did not warrant relief.
