FWICE issues safety advisory after Tiger Shroff firing, calls for strict crew verification on sets
New Delhi: The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has issued a safety advisory to production houses and producers’ associations, calling for stricter security arrangements and mandatory verification of crew members working on film and television sets.

The move comes amid concerns over security incidents reportedly involving Bollywood actors Tiger Shroff and Salman Khan, as well as filmmaker Rohit Shetty.
FWICE General Secretary Ashok Dubey said that an official letter had been sent to producers’ bodies and production houses, asking them to thoroughly verify the identities of all individuals employed on shooting sets.
According to Dubey, production teams have been instructed to ensure that the names of crew members are correctly recorded on call sheets and that their identity cards and affiliations with recognised industry associations are properly checked.
He explained that the objective behind these measures is to prevent unknown or unauthorised individuals from gaining access to shooting locations, particularly when prominent actors and other high-profile personalities are present.
The federation has also urged production houses to maintain proper crew records, strengthen entry restrictions and ensure that security personnel remain vigilant throughout filming.
Dubey stressed the importance of checking whether individuals working on sets are affiliated with the federation or its associated unions. Such verification, along with independent identity checks, is intended to help production teams identify legitimate workers and minimise potential security risks.
He further indicated that a meeting has been proposed for Monday to discuss the situation and determine the next course of action regarding security arrangements across the industry.
FWICE has called upon producers, filmmakers and other stakeholders to cooperate in implementing stronger safety protocols, emphasising that protecting artists, technicians and other workers must remain a priority.
The advisory reflects the film industry’s growing focus on regulating access to shooting locations and strengthening preventive security measures amid concerns over the safety of Bollywood personalities and production crews.
