Tiger Shroff firing case: Can Rehan Ansari’s phone expose the mastermind behind attack?

New Delhi: In the investigation of the firing at Tiger Shroff’s car, police are now examining accused Rehan Ansari’s phone and digital history to determine whether someone was allegedly directing the shooters from behind the scenes. Investigators are looking at whom Rehan contacted before and after the shooting and whether he was receiving instructions from an alleged handler.

According to sources close to the investigation, his phone conversations, internet-based calls and other available digital evidence are being analysed as police attempt to reconstruct the chain of communication surrounding the attack. Authorities are also investigating whether the shooters acted on their own or remained in contact with someone who allegedly guided them through different stages of the operation, including reaching the location and escaping after the firing.

Who was Rehan Ansari in touch with?

Rehan’s contacts have emerged as a key focus of the investigation. Police are trying to establish whom he communicated with before the firing and whether he contacted anyone immediately after the incident. Investigators are examining the available digital trail to determine if instructions were allegedly being passed to the shooters in real time.

However, police have not officially disclosed whom Rehan allegedly spoke to, the exact timing of any such conversations or what may have been discussed. These details remain under investigation. The digital evidence is expected to be studied alongside other material gathered in the case as investigators attempt to establish whether there was a larger network involved in planning and executing the attack.

Did the accused use internet calling apps?

According to sources, investigators are looking into the possible use of apps such as Zangi or Signal. However, the use of any particular app to allegedly coordinate the attack has not yet been officially established. Investigators are expected to cross-check call records, available digital data and statements made by the accused to reconstruct their communication network.

The investigation is not restricted to Rehan’s role. Police are attempting to find out whether his contacts can lead them to other suspects or to an alleged handler who may have been operating from outside India. The role of Anil Pandit and his possible links with other suspects are also being examined as part of the wider investigation.

Digital evidence could become crucial in determining how the alleged conspiracy was planned, how instructions were communicated and whether different individuals were assigned separate roles before and after the shooting.
