Jailer 2 movie review
has received mixed reviews, with Rajinikanth’s screen presence emerging as one of its biggest strengths. The Times of India gave the film 3 out of 5 stars, describing it as a satisfying sequel that continues the story of retired jailer Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. The film brings back familiar elements from the first instalment while adding new characters and larger action sequences.
However, the film has also faced criticism for its uneven screenplay and some underdeveloped supporting roles. The Indian Express review highlighted Rajinikanth’s commanding presence and Hrithik Roshan’s performance, while pointing out that predictable antagonists and underwritten cameo roles affect the overall narrative.
Despite the mixed critical response, the film’s box-office performance has remained strong. Its worldwide gross has reached Rs 477.75 crore in five days, and its next target is the Rs 500 crore mark.
