Jailer 2 box office collection Day 3: Rajinikanth starrer crosses Rs 300 crore globally

Hyderabad: Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest action entertainer Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, has taken the box office by storm, breaching the Rs 300-crore mark worldwide in its opening weekend.

The sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer opened with over Rs 100 crore globally on Day 1 and maintained strong momentum over the weekend. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film registered Rs 47.80 crore net in India on Saturday alone, bringing its three-day domestic net total to Rs 144.60 crore (Rs 169.65 crore gross).

Overseas collections also saw robust growth, crossing Rs 147.50 crore gross (Rs 47.50 crore net), pushing the film’s total worldwide gross to an estimated Rs 317.15 crore in three days.

The action spectacle features an ensemble cast including Vidya Balan, Shivarajkumar, and Mohanlal in key roles.
