Police Crackdown on Protestors: Dipke Neha Bora Detained

The Delhi Police have detained the Cockroach Janata Party leader Abhijeet Dipke from his house as he came out to go to Central Park in Connaught Place to participate in the Tiranga rally.

The police had earlier served notice on him that he had no permission to do so and informed him that he would be detained if tries to violate the order. More than 20 Delhi Police personnel visited Dipke’s residence in Jhandewalan and served him a notice directing him to refrain from any action that could prejudice the rights of citizens, traders, commuters, patients and others.

The police action comes amid heightened security arrangements in the national capital ahead of the proposed protest.

Meanwhile, the police had deployed security forces not only inside the Central Park but also at all possible places where the CJP or AAP activists might stage a flash appearance. The AISA activists Neha Bora was also detained by police soon after reaching Connaught place when she and some activists tried to take out a rally. They are being taken to different police stations. Police have been deployed at all nearby metro stations to prevent any untoward incident. It remains to be seen if she will come alone or in a group.

Though the AAP had also given a call for Tiranga agitation, so far no one has reached Central Park or Mandi House.

On the other hand the Keralam Government also denied permission to CJP to hold the ‘Tiranga Lehra Do’ rally. Earlier in the day the Bengaluru government had also denied permission. A few CJP activists gathered at the Town Hall holding the Tricolour flag.
