New Delhi: Breaking Bad actor was reportedly going through a difficult period in his relationship with fiancée Kennedy Suarez in the weeks before his death. Mitte died at the age of 34 on October 12, 2026, in Brownsville, Texas.
According to TMZ, sources close to Mitte’s family claimed that tensions had grown between Suarez and the actor’s mother, Dyna. The report alleged that Suarez believed Dyna was interfering in their relationship and wanted Mitte to choose between the two. These claims have not been independently verified, and it remains unclear what the status of Mitte and Suarez’s relationship was before his death.

Who is Kennedy Suarez?
Mitte and Suarez had known each other for around a decade before their friendship developed into a romantic relationship. They reportedly began dating around 2020. According to PEOPLE, Suarez worked remotely as a human resources generalist. She regularly accompanied Mitte to public events and also visited him on film sets. She reportedly lived with Mitte in Brownsville, Texas.
The couple got engaged in October 2025, when Mitte proposed to Suarez on her 30th birthday during the 56th annual Dia del Sol fundraising gala in Carlsbad, California.
Speaking about their engagement at the time, Mitte told PEOPLE, “I’m thrilled to have found my person, my partner in life who makes me want to be better, no matter what we’re doing.”
He added, “Kennedy is my everything, and I can’t wait to officially start our life together and see what adventures life takes us on next.”

According to police, officers responded to a call at around 12:50 pm local time and found Mitte dead at his home.
