Rahul vs ECI Petition Filed in SC.

In a dramatic development, the petition that Rahul Gandhi wanted to file before the Supreme Court against the Election Commission of India had to be filed by his lawyers, as the cavalcade of Rahul Gandhi along with Priyanka Vadra, Akhilesh Yadav, Telangana Chief Minister A Reventh Reddy, RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav, Himachal CM and others was stuck on Barakhamba Road near Mandi House.

They had to file a petition by 4.30 pm; hence, the lawyers filed the petition on behalf of Rahul.

Police had put up heavy barricades en route to the Supreme Court, and the vehicle carrying Rahul and other leaders is stuck near the barricades. It remains to be seen if they will now be allowed to go towards the Supreme Court or not.

The entire road has been blocked by party workers of Congress from across different states, workers of SP, RJD, and the Left parties. It was more of a dharna drama and detention.

Opposition leaders, Left Party activists, and the INDIA bloc were on the bus near Connaught Place. They will now be walking towards Mandi House.

Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry has decided to retain the security forces in Delhi for the next two months.
