Yogi Government’s Efforts Help Businesspeople Gain Global Recognition Through the International Trade Show
Greater Noida, September 28: The UP International Trade Show is providing an opportunity for the state’s business community to connect with the global market. Sambhal-based ‘Bharat Hemp Agro’ has created a new market by converting approximately 100 tonnes of hemp agricultural residue into high-grade textile fiber. The company has now signed MoUs to export hemp fiber to the USA and South Korea.

Ayush Singh, founder of Bharat Hemp Agro, stated that the venture began in 2021. Previously, hemp agricultural residue was either burned or discarded; the company began converting this waste into textile fiber. He noted that hemp fiber is naturally antifungal and antibacterial, and its production consumes significantly less water compared to cotton.
Income of 1,000 Farmers Doubled
According to Ayush Singh, this initiative has doubled the income of approximately 1,000 farmers, while indirectly providing employment and support to around 3,000 rural families. The company has received support through the Uttar Pradesh government’s Prototype Development Grant and the Central Government’s National Agriculture Infrastructure Scheme. Business prospects have expanded significantly, largely due to the positive policies of the Yogi government.
He mentioned that the previous editions of the UP International Trade Show offered substantial opportunities. The recent signing of MoUs for exports to the USA and South Korea has paved the way for the business to reach the global market.
Ayush Singh added that the inclusion of hemp as an ‘allied fiber’ in the Union Ministry of Textiles’ ‘New Age Fiber Policy’ has opened up new possibilities in the sector. He pointed out that despite the potential for hemp in India, hemp-related products were previously being imported from China. Recognizing this, the company initiated the development of domestic capacity to produce hemp fiber.
