Geetu Mohandas – The Name To Be Remembered For Her Wild Toxic Plot
Kannada film industry’s young hero Yash joined the league of A-listers with Prashant Neel’s KGF series. The first film in that series wasn’t just a blockbuster it became a pan-Indian phenomenon with its dark action plot. Even Yash gained immense popularity with this movie and gained a Pan-Indian appeal. And the second part of this series lived up to the mark and further expanded its universe with the entry of Bollywood’s veteran actress Raveena Tandon. The dark action thriller also had political elements which grabbed Pan-Indian attention. Now, both Yash and Prashant Neel are enjoying their peak phase with this blockbuster success.

Thus, it’s also natural to have expectations on Yash’s next movie… Thus, along with essaying the most-talked ‘Ravan’ role in the Ramayana movie. He is also all set to deliver another massive dose of Intoxication with the Toxic movie. This movie already witnessed a few highs and lows ahead of the release itself with its complete adult plot. But with the caption, ‘A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ itself, the makers were clear with their plot. On the other hand, Yash’s first glimpse received mixed talk and highlighted director Geetu’s daring approach. Being a woman, She took a bold creative risk by presenting Yash in such an unconventional role.
Coming to Geetu Mohandas, she was a well-known child artist in the Malayalam film industry and then she also acted in a few movies as a lead actress. Later, in 2009 she first donned the director’s hat and helmed a short film titled Kelkkunnundo. Thereafter, she received a Special Jury award at the 18th Sofia International Film Festival and two National Film Awards, in 2014, for the Liar’s Dice movie. And then even her third movie, Moothon also bagged the Global Filmmaking award for story in Sundance film festival 2016.
Well, now the Toxic being her fourth film, she could convince the Pan-Indian hero Yash to play such an intense role in her movie. Right from the teaser to trailer, it is a complete dark and violent action-thriller set in post-colonial Goa as Portuguese rule crumbles. Yash plays the role of Raya who will be showcased as a ruthless criminal who builds a powerful smuggling empire.
Even Tollywood’s ace filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma was blown away with Geetu’s taking and dropped his strong comments on Twitter in support of Yash and Geetu.
