Tollywood actor Nagarjuna shares experience of being cheated, says he won’t take selfie

Telangana Cyber Security Bureau organized a Cyber Security Awareness programme on Friday under the name of ‘Tiranga Ka Suraksha‘. Telugu actor Nagarjuna, who turned up for the event, shared his experience of being cheated crime. He said that he also fell prey for cyber frauds once four years back while talking to the fake caller impersonating as bank staff.

“Computers came first in 1977 when I was doing my Engineering. At that time also the Professors used to tell us that emails, phishing mails and hacking is big problem. It was existing even before that,” he said. He added that five years back also he was cheated by a person misbehaving as bank official and forced to invest money in a project.

He also revealed that some of his near ones were trapped for few hours by frauds in cyber space for their digital arrest. “They keep threatening that some package of narcotics is going to be sent to your address by air and telangana police are doing great job in taking cyber criminals to book.”

Nagarjuna also said that “He himself changes his mobile password every week and Wi-Fi password every month and does not take selfie”.

While felicitating the cyber security officers, he especially thanked CV Anand and Sajjanar for their dedicated efforts in tracking down cyber pirates and cyber criminals even from foreign countries. “All of us have to be vigilant and have to take help of Telangana police for not letting cyber criminals mislead us,” he said.
