India’s exports to US, China and West Asia rise in July
New Delhi: India’s exports increased 19.63 per cent to$ 44.24 billion in July, even as the trade deficit widened to $31.98 billion. Imports rose 17.52 per cent to $76.22 billion.

During April-July this fiscal, exports jumped 17.04 per cent to $173.78 billion, while imports climbed 19.27 per cent to $292.38 billion.
Exports to the West Asian region rose 8.62 per cent year-on-year to $5.7 billion in July from $5.2 billion in the same month last year, despite global uncertainties, Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal said on Thursday.
Shipments to the region had declined for the first time in March due to the US-Iran conflict, but improved in April and further in May and June. Agrawal said trade with the region was back to earlier levels.
India’s exports to the UAE rose 10.15 per cent to $3.3 billion, while shipments to Saudi Arabia declined 2.73 per cent to $763.7 million. Imports from Oman jumped 150.36 per cent to $1.57 billion. Exports to the US increased 12.85 per cent to $9.02 billion, while shipments to China surged 64.57 per cent to $2.2 billion in July.
