Primary school headmaster suspended for indulging in drunken behavior and forcing minors to clean feces

New Delhi: Shocking details have emerged regarding the headmaster of Amura Primary School in Madhya Pradesh’s Maihar district, leaving parents deeply distressed and raising serious concerns about student safety. The headmaster stands accused of coming to school in an intoxicated state, defecating on school premises despite the availability of toilets, and forcing minor children to clean up after him.

The horrific incident came to light after young students personally spoke out against his conduct. A young student recounted, “Sir comes to school drunk. He defecates inside the school and forces us to clean it up. He eats gutkha and spits all over the campus.”
Another third-grade student echoed these allegations, stating, “Sir uses foul language and arrives intoxicated. He does not even teach us basic multiplication tables.”

Parents and local villagers have also voiced strong protests, alleging that the headmaster never arrives on time, often turning up late in the afternoon without attending to any of his academic duties. According to residents, classes are rarely held, the Mid-Day Meal scheme is poorly implemented, and young pupils are routinely tasked with sweeping the campus and fetching water instead of studying.

Distressed parents expressed deep anxiety over the physical and psychological toll the headmaster’s unsanitary habits and abusive behavior are taking on their children.
Taking swift cognizance of the matter, Block Education Officer (BEO) Rajesh Dwivedi issued a official show-cause notice to the accused headmaster. Officials confirmed that a recommendation for his formal suspension has already been forwarded to higher authorities.
