VHP chief seeks blessings of Puttige Seer
Udupi: International President of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court, Alok Kumar, paid a visit to the Puttige Moolamatha here today and sought the blessings of Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji.

Upon his arrival at the Moolamatha, he was accorded a traditional welcome with Vedic chanting by the students and faculty of the Puttige Vidyapeetha. Subsequently, he offered prayers to the deities Sri Kambada Ganapati, Sri Narasimha, and Sri Mukhyaprana. Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji briefed the visiting dignitary on the Vedic studies, religious education, and various social service initiatives undertaken by the Vidyapeetha.
During a formal program, Swamiji felicitated Alok Kumar and lauded his dedicated efforts toward unifying Hindu society, protecting Sanatana Dharma, and expanding VHP’s organisational reach. Alok Kumar also met the junior seer of Puttige Matha, Sri Sushreendra Teertha Swamiji, to seek his blessings.
Prominent leaders present on the occasion included VHP Regional Secretary Sharan Pumpwell, Dakshina Kannada District Working President Sunil K.R., Udupi District President Vishnumurthy Acharya, Udupi District Secretary Dinesh Mendan, BJP District Spokesperson Madhukar Mudradi, and temple/matha coordinator Girish Tantri.
