66-year-old Kadiyala Kumara Swamy wins three medals at Hyderabad District Masters Swimming Championship

Hyderabad: Kadiyala Kumara Swamy put up an impressive show winning a gold, silver and a bronze in the Hyderabad district Masters swimming championship at GHMC Swimming Pool here (Ameerpet) here.

The 66-year-old resident of Vijayanagar Colony bagged gold in the 25m butterfly, silver in the 25m backstroke and a bronze in the 25 m freestyle events.

For the record, Kumara Swamy, who retired in the State Financial Corporation and started competing since 2006, was also a gold medallist in the 2024 Masters Nationals in the 200m individual medley event and has been winning gold in the 100m backstroke event for the last four years.
