Yash’s Toxic Sells 30,000 Tickets In Just Six Hours
KGF fame Yash needs no introduction. As of now, audiences are eagerly waiting to witness Toxic in theatres. Being a complete adult action drama, it is aimed at adult audiences who enjoy intense action dramas. Although the tagline, “A Fairytale for Grown-Ups,” initially received some backlash, the teaser and trailer gradually generated interest among action lovers making them eagerly await for the movie. In the same way, even the advance bookings also got that flying start.

As of 4 PM today, 30,000 tickets were sold in the top national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis, for the opening day in North India. Still, we have 5 more days and the pace of bookings indicates strong demand among moviegoers.
Prashanth Neel’s KGF franchise helped Yash gain massive pan-Indian recognition. With Ramayana, he is now making his presence felt in Bollywood as well, and his portrayal of Ravana has already generated significant buzz with the trailer. This helped him to get that much-needed hype for Toxic in the Hindi belt. Considering the pre-sales, the movie is set for a solid start and hold a vicinity of Rs 40-50 crores on the first day.
Compared to Animal, Dhurandhar and Spider-Man, Toxic’s six-hour sales are higher and this raised the expectations bar a notch higher. Yash is returning to the theatres nearly after 4 years, but he managed to maintain his popularity by carefully choosing his projects. Toxic also has an ensemble cast of Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Akshaye Oberoi and is also releasing in English in the International markets.
Toxic reportedly recovered the budget with digital, satellite, and theatrical distribution rights. Thus, pre-release business stands at around ₹600 crore and allowed the makers to fully recover ahead of the release itself.
Toxic is helmed by Geetu Mohandas and is bankrolled by Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations banners. This movie will hit the theatres on 26th August, 2026!
