Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabali Release Date Is Out

We have already witnessed Akhil bagging a blockbuster with Lenin, Suriya making his comeback with Vishwanath & Sons and Ravi Teja entering the 100-crore club with Irumudi. Thus, all the fans of Rowdy boy Vijay Deverakonda are also expecting him to make his comeback with Ranabali. As it has Rashmika Mandanna as the lead actress, it will be their first film on the big screens post-wedding. Although the movie was scheduled to hit the theatres in September, Rashmika’s injury repotedly delayed the shoot.

With the shooting back on track, the makers have now announced the release date of this most-awaited movie and treated the fans of VIROSH.

So, get ready to witness, “The darkest chapter of our history opens this October. #Ranabaali GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 16.10.26”.

The makers of Ranabali picked a perfect release date for Vijay as it holds the Dussehra vibe along with the festive holiday season. Being a periodic drama, Vijay Deverakonda will be seen as Ranabali and Rashmika will portray the role of his wife Jayamma in this pre-independence story.

Going with the plot, it will roll us back to 1854 and 1878 and showcase how the protagonist fought against the British. Although it is not a biopic, the story is inspired by the real incidents that took place in 1850s but was never etched in the history books.

We already know how the British treated Indians during their rule. But a few people who fought against the British never received recognition as there was nothing written about them in the history books. But some stories always touch the hearts and create an impact when they are retold on the big screens.

Ranabali is one such story which holds lot of impact. Fighting against British is not a simple task. One needs courage and support to move forward and our dear Ranabali drew strength and motivation from his wife Jayamma to stand up for his people.

Thus, Ranabali is a cinematic reconstruction of a story that was built basing the oral histories and suppressed records. This movie also has an ensemble cast of Arnold Vosloo, Vinod Sagar and Luke McGibney. The Mummy villain will be seen as the antagonist Sir Theodore Hector in this periodic movie.

This Rahul Sankrityan’s directorial is produced under the Mythri Movie Makers banner and will hit the big screens on 16th October, 2026.
