Uorfi Javed says housing society has stopped her from filming at home after she objected to guest rule
New Delhi: has accused her housing society committee of harassing her after it allegedly introduced a rule preventing her from shooting content inside her own home. The reality TV personality took to Instagram Stories to share her frustration, claiming that the restrictions began after she approached the police over the society’s rules for visitors entering residents’ apartments.

According to Uorfi, the committee introduced a rule requiring residents to seek permission from their landlords for guests visiting their apartments after 6 PM. She alleged that the situation escalated after she objected to the restriction, with the committee subsequently stopping her from filming content inside her house.
Sharing her side of the story on Instagram, Uorfi wrote, “Meri society committee ne ek rule nikala hai naya mujhe pareshan karne k liye (My society committee has introduced a new rule to harass me) – I can’t shoot any content in my own house!”
She further explained that the committee considered her shoots commercial in nature because the content was uploaded on social media and contributed to her popularity. Uorfi expressed disbelief over being restricted from creating content within her own home.
Uorfi Javed claims committee asked landlord to evict her
In another Instagram Story, Uorfi alleged that the dispute had taken a personal turn. She claimed that members of the society committee approached her landlord and asked her to evict the actor, but the landlord did not agree to their demand.
“This hurt their fragile male ego. They told my landlord to kick me out, which she didn’t, so now 4-5 men have had to use such low level tactics to harass me/ kind of proud of myself,” she wrote.
Uorfi’s latest allegations come after she previously raised concerns about restrictions imposed by her housing society on visitors entering the premises. In a post on X dated September 2, 2026, she claimed that the society had introduced a rule prohibiting guests from entering after 10 PM. She added that the restriction also affected people visiting her for professional commitments, including interviews and shoots.
According to her post, visitors were not allowed into the premises for such work unless the property owner had emailed the society committee in advance. Uorfi also alleged that people had been physically stopped from entering her home, questioning the legality of the restrictions.
So my society has a new rule , no guests allowed after 10 pm and even for interviews or shoot they will not allow anyone unless the owner has emailed them . They physically stopped people from entering my house . I don’t know how is this even legal ? You cannot physically stop someone entering my residential premises . @mybmc @MumbaiPolice how is this rule even legal ?
