Three killed as speeding car rams bike in Hanur, driver flees
Chamarajanagar ; Three men were killed on the spot after an unidentified car allegedly rammed their motorcycle from behind near R.S. Doddi in Hanur taluk late Thursday night.

The deceased have been identified as Ramesh, Suresh and Muniyappa, residents of Koppa village in Hanur taluk.
According to police, the three men were travelling from Koppa towards Kollegala Doddi on a motorcycle for some urgent work when the accident occurred. An unidentified car, allegedly travelling at high speed, hit their motorcycle from behind. The impact was so severe that all three suffered critical injuries and died at the spot.
The driver of the car reportedly did not stop after the accident and fled from the scene. Police suspect that the vehicle may have sustained damage in the collision.
Soon after receiving information, personnel from Hanur police station reached the accident spot and conducted an inspection. Police collected damaged vehicle parts found at the scene as part of the investigation.
Investigators are examining CCTV camera footage from the accident spot and nearby roads to identify the car and trace the driver. Police are also checking whether any eyewitnesses or motorists passing through the area witnessed the collision.
The bodies were shifted to the government hospital in Kollegala for postmortem examination.
A case has been registered at the Hanur police station and further investigation is underway. Police are making efforts to establish the exact circumstances leading to the accident and apprehend the driver of the unidentified car.
