TFPC elections: Mana Panel promises welfare reforms

Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) elections are around the corner as the members of the contending Mana Panel held a press conference in Hyderabad on the eve of the polls, speaking out their plans for the producers and addressing various issues related to the election.

The panel president candidate C. Kalyan asserted that if his panel comes to power, they will focus on welfare of all the producers. He further stated that the panel will look to increase the medical insurance coverage from ₹4 lakh to ₹5 lakh and also consider enhancing insurance benefits even for those who have made just one film.

In addition, he asserted that the panel would set up a pension committee for senior producers and take care of the family members of the deceased producers and even help them with education and marriages. Moreover, he added that the panel will look to create OTTs opportunities for small films through a website.

Addressing industry-related issues, Kalyan said that the panel will meet the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to discuss the problems related to film industry properties and more. He further stated that from 2032, 30 percent of the revenue from a building constructed earlier would be put into the welfare fund for industry members.

Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao appealed to the producers to support the Mana Panel while Thummala Prasanna Kumar defended the panel’s management of the nominations and stated that all the moves were taken in accordance with the norms.

The panel reiterated its stand on transparency and welfare of the producers.
