Tata NANO May have Comeback in EV AVATAR

Recently, while giving an interview to ABP Auto live, Ajay Jain (Tata motors, India Design head), when asked as to whether NANO would have its comeback, he stated, there can be a possibility, by saying “Try Karenge” in Hindi.

Yes, in near future, car once built by TATA Motors, to provide budget friendly car, so that many who can afford to buy two wheeler can buy this car and travel safely with their families. But it was unfortunate, the car was advertised as the cheapest car, and the sales could not match the company expection and they had to incur losses. This was failure of the company due to its poor marketing strategy, instead of potraying it, as the cheapest car, they could have positioned the above car, as people’s car.

Many people did not opt to buy this car because they did not wish to drive, the car which was branded as the cheapest car. In india, owning a car is a pride, they did not want their pride to be lost by driving an cheapest car.

WHY TATA Nano in EV?

The market for Automobiles has changed very signficantly then it was earlier. Electric cars are now becoming more common, and the traffic in cities is increasing day by day. The compact city foccued vehicles have found greater acceptance. Tata nano is known to be the small car yet comfortable .

Tata Motors already has got strong presence in India’s electric car market. Its EV range presently includes modes such as the Tiago EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, Curvv EV, Harrier EV and Sierra EV. However, there exists still room for a more affordable electric car below the Tiago EV, a Nano EV could target that space.

TATa Nano continues to attract lot of attention online even after years have passed, its production has also been shut down long age, yet the images revealing a modern Nano often go viral on Social media, with many people hope that TATA motors would actually bring NANO back.
