Tamil Nadu CM Vijay launches WhatsApp chatbot for OP registration in govt hospitals
Alongside the digital platform, the Chief Minister also inaugurated healthcare infrastructure upgrades valued at Rs 139.47 crore and issued appointment letters to 2,144 new healthcare professionals.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay has launched an integrated digital platform to facilitate quick OP registration and appointments at the government medical facilities across the state. The platform, named Nalam TN, is available at the number 9619222999. They can skip physical outpatient registration queues in the hospitals this way.
How to use it
Users can activate the booking by texting ‘Hi’ to the number 9619222999. The digital platform: is currently live on a pilot basis in 22 districts, including Chennai and Chengalpattu. The platform allows people, including corporates, to directly sponsor medical equipment or donate transparently to specific government hospitals to improve the facilities.

Vijay has also inaugurated healthcare infrastructure worth Rs 139.47 crore, focusing on the expansion of medical facilities, patient wards, and diagnostic equipment, and handed over appointment orders to 2,144 newly recruited healthcare professionals, including 751 assistant medical officers and 1,393 health inspectors.
