Spider-Man Brand New Day Box Office Collection Day 2: Marvel release continues record-breaking run in India
New Delhi: Spider-Man: Brand New Day has continued its dream run at the Indian box office, adding another strong day to its opening weekend. After a historic opening, the Marvel film comfortably crossed the Rs 130 crore gross mark in India within two days, strengthening its position as one of the biggest Hollywood releases of the year.

Trade estimates by Sacnilk show that the Tom Holland-starrer collected Rs 49.35 crore net on Friday, its second day in theatres. With this, the film’s India net collection climbed to Rs 109.95 crore, while its gross earnings reached Rs 131.46 crore after just two days.
The superhero film opened with Rs 60.60 crore net on Thursday, setting a new benchmark for the franchise. Internationally, the film is also off to a flying start. According to Deadline, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to post a worldwide opening-day collection between $167 million and $173 million, including preview screenings.
The English 3D version led the occupancy charts on Friday with an overall occupancy of 43.48 per cent. Audience turnout improved steadily through the day, rising from 31.56 per cent during morning shows to 66.78 per cent at night. The Hindi 3D version recorded 36.79 per cent occupancy, while the Hindi 2D and English 2D versions registered 23.69 per cent and 44.56 per cent, respectively. The film is also screening in Tamil and Telugu.
With strong audience response across languages, the Marvel release has emerged as the biggest draw at cinemas despite competition from Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and Vijay’s Tamil political thriller Jana Nayagan. Trade analysts expect the film to comfortably cross the Rs 200 crore mark in India by the end of its opening weekend.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day features Tom Holland in the lead alongside Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink and Tramell Tillman. The film serves as the fourth standalone Spider-Man outing for Holland in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following Spider-Man: No Way Home.
