Skyroot, Dhruva eye global customers and partnerships
Hyderabad: Hyderabad-basedspace companies Skyroot Aerospace and Dhruva Space are looking to deepen engagement with international customers and technology partners, using their participation in Bengaluru Space Expo (BSX) 2026 to explore commercial opportunities across the global space sector. While Skyroot is focused on building a sustained launch programme around its Vikram series, Dhruva Space is expanding its satellite, subsystem, ground infrastructure and mission capabilities in international markets, with Project Garud among its key offerings.

“Vikram-1 reaching orbit on its maiden flight was an important validation of our technology and execution. The focus now is on moving from a successful first orbital mission towards a sustained launch programme and progressively higher launch cadence,” Tejaswi Bhagavatula, Vice President, Brand & Marketing, Skyroot Aerospace, said. BSX provides Skyroot an opportunity to engage directly with satellite companies, customers and ecosystem partners from around the world. “We want to better understand their upcoming missions, their orbit requirements, timelines and integration needs, while exploring opportunities where the Vikram launch vehicles can offer dedicated and responsive access to space,” Bhagavatula said.
“For us, the conversation is increasingly shifting from ‘Can an Indian private company build and launch an orbital-class rocket?’ to ‘How do we build a globally competitive launch service from India?’ BSX is an important platform for advancing that conversation with the global space community,” he added.
The launch market is inherently global, with satellite companies looking for reliability, availability, mission flexibility, turnaround time and competitive economics, irrespective of where a launch company is based. “Following Vikram-1’s successful orbital flight, our priority is to build repeatability, increase cadence and continue strengthening the overall launch service,” Bhagavatula said.
“India brings significant advantages, a deep engineering talent pool, decades of space heritage through ISRO, a growing private space ecosystem and an increasingly enabling policy environment. Our ambition is to combine those strengths with world-class execution and build Skyroot into a globally competitive launch company from India,” he said.
Dhruva Space is seeking international customers and technology partners across the private-sector space value chain, while exploring opportunities to contribute to space programmes in established and emerging markets. “BSX 2026 provides an opportunity for Dhruva Space to engage directly with international customers, technology partners and companies across the private-sector Space value chain, and to explore opportunities to contribute to ambitious Space programmes in established and emerging markets,” said Sanjay Nekkanti, CEO & Co-Founder, Dhruva Space. “Our Space-grade solar arrays have customers in the UAE and Europe, while Project Garud is being developed as a modular 500 kg-class communications platform for evolving constellation requirements,” Nekkanti said.
The company is also expanding its international ground infrastructure, including a recently established ground station in Sweden, while building manufacturing capacity through its upcoming 280,000 sq. ft. facility in Hyderabad. “We are also expanding our global ground infrastructure, including a recently established ground station in Sweden, and building manufacturing capacity through our upcoming 280,000 sq. ft. facility in Hyderabad,” Nekkanti said.
Dhruva is also seeking partnerships with companies bringing complementary technologies and engineering capabilities.
“There is also significant scope to work with Indian companies across the private-sector value chain where there is a clear opportunity to combine technologies around specific customer or programme requirements,” Nekkanti said.
