Security tightened across Delhi as several schools report bomb threats

New Delhi: Multiple schools in Delhi received bomb threat messages on Monday morning. Security teams and emergency services quickly jumped into action. Authorities said all safety rules were started right away, and teams are searching the school grounds thoroughly.

According to Delhi Police, no dangerous items have been found so far. Bomb squads, police dogs, local officers, and firefighters were sent to the schools as a precaution, and students and staff were safely moved out. Officials said they are keeping a close watch on the situation and trying to find out who sent the threats.

Search teams checking campuses

Police said the threat messages were sent to multiple schools, setting off standard safety steps. Officers are searching classrooms, offices, playgrounds, and all other areas of the schools.

Authorities have asked parents and students to stay calm and follow only official updates.

Part of a repeated pattern

This is not the first time Delhi has faced such threats, as many schools, colleges, hospitals, and government offices have received fake bomb threats over the last two years. In February, institutions such as Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan and Air Force Bal Bharti School on Lodhi Road received threat emails that were proven false after detailed searches.

Earlier, three schools across Dwarka and Paschim Enclave were similarly evacuated following threat emails that turned out to be false alarms. This pattern follows a major incident in May 2024, when more than 200 schools across Delhi NCR received threat emails simultaneously, triggering large scale evacuations before authorities officially declared the threats to be a hoax.

Strict safety rules

Security teams say they treat every single threat as real until they are 100 per cent sure the area is safe. Standard rules require evacuating everyone, searching the premises completely, and making sure everything is clear before letting normal school activities start again.

Officials said, Police cyber teams are working to track down where the messages came from, and more details will be shared once search operations finish.
