Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro Leak Ahead of Launch: Here’s What We Know
Redmi kicked off the year by launching the mid-range Redmi Note 15 series. Now, talk has already turned to the Redmi Note 17 series. A new leak suggests the lineup will launch with notable improvements in performance, battery life, durability, and display quality. These leaks have surfaced as the company prepares to launch the Redmi K90 Ultra in China on June 30.

What We Know So Far About the Redmi Note 17
On the popular Chinese social network Weibo, leaker Smart Pikachu suggested that the Redmi Note 17 could be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, paired with a massive 9,000 mAh battery. The phone is said to be water-resistant, although the leaker did not explicitly mention an IP rating—the standard measure for water and dust resistance. Regarding the display, the phone is expected to feature a flat OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a 50-megapixel main camera.
Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is rumoured to come with a Dimensity 7500 processor. To ensure strong battery life, the device could feature a large 10,000 mAh battery. This model is also expected to be water-resistant. As for the display, it might arrive with a flat 1.5K panel and a 200-megapixel main camera.
Previously, leaker Digital Chat Station suggested that the Redmi Note 17 could debut in June. As for the Pro variant, it was indicated that it could launch that same month or the following one, in August.
Meanwhile, Redmi is preparing to launch the Redmi K90 Ultra, a gaming-focused device. The brand has already begun promoting the phone to build hype and recently revealed several key specifications. It has been confirmed that the Redmi K90 Ultra will feature a large 8,550 mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging, 22.5W wired reverse charging, and a bypass charging function. The company states that the cell will incorporate 16% silicon content.
Internally, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and will feature an active cooling fan and a dual-rear-camera system.
Regarding the display, the Redmi K90 Ultra will come equipped with a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel, a 165Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits, and Samsung’s M10 luminescent material. Additionally, Redmi claims the K90 Ultra can run over 40 games natively at 165 fps.
