Randeep Hooda lauds Shraddha Kapoor’s Eetha performance: ‘I saw how much it means to her’

New Delhi: Actor Randeep Hooda praised Shraddha Kapoor for her dedication and commitment to her role in Laxman Utekar’s upcoming film Eetha, saying he was delighted to be part of a project that meant so much to his co-star.

Speaking at the film’s trailer launch, Hooda said, “The fabulous Shraddha Kapoor has put so much into this movie. I could really see how much the film means to her. I was very, very glad to be part of this movie with Shraddha.”

Hooda said he was particularly drawn to the story of a woman who fights life’s battles with courage, resilience and love rather than conventional weapons.

“Everyone is getting it wrong when they say Laxman hasn’t made another story about a warrior. Not all warriors carry swords. Some carry love,” Hooda said.

Describing the film’s central character as a warrior who refuses to give up despite life’s challenges, he added, “This is the story of a woman who never gives up. Whatever life throws at her, she accepts it. Even after falling, she gets up and continues living her life. I found that incredibly inspiring.”

Hooda said the character’s journey represented the experiences of countless women.

“This is not just Eetha’s story. It is the story of hundreds and thousands of women. That really connected with me,” he said.

The actor also praised director Laxman Utekar, describing him as not only an accomplished filmmaker but also a wonderful human being.

“Laxman is an outstanding director and, more importantly, a very good human being. You can see in the trailer how powerful the film is and how powerful dance movements can be in expressing the spirit of a warrior,” he said.

Hooda also spoke warmly about producer Dinesh Vijan, with whom he reunited after a long time.

“Dinesh Vijan has a vision for making great stories. He is a great guy, and I reconnected with him after a long time. I am very grateful to be part of this movie,” he said.

The actor was equally enthusiastic about the film’s music, joking that it might overshadow everything else.

“I hadn’t heard the music earlier, but now that I have, it is really banging. I think it is going to kill us all. Nobody will notice the rest of our work,” Hooda said.

Expressing his gratitude, he concluded, “I am very grateful and honoured to be part of this great story and this great team.”

Produced by Maddock Films and Kathputli Creations, Eetha will be released in theatres on December 4.
