New Skoda Slavia launched at Rs 9.99 lakh, gets new automatic gearbox and features

Mumbai: Skoda Auto India has announced prices for the updated Slavia, with the sedan starting at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin next week.

The new Slavia is available in six variants, Classic, Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo, and gets updated styling, new features and an additional automatic transmission option.

The sedan continues with the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines. The 1.0 TSI is available with a six-speed manual and a new eight-speed torque converter automatic, claimed to be a segment-first. The 1.5 TSI is paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic.

Prices for the 1.0 TSI manual start at Rs 9.99 lakh for the Classic and go up to Rs 15.89 lakh for the Prestige. The 1.0 TSI automatic ranges from Rs 12.49 lakh for the Classic+ to Rs 17.29 lakh for the Monte Carlo. The 1.5 TSI DSG is available on the Prestige and Monte Carlo at Rs 18.59 lakh and Rs 18.84 lakh, respectively.

The updated Slavia gets new LED headlamps and taillamps with sequential rear turn indicators, revised bumpers and new alloy wheel designs. The Monte Carlo also gets black exterior elements and red detailing.

Among the new features is a segment-first rear-seat massage function. Higher variants get a 360-degree Area View camera, Park Pilot with front and rear parking sensors and a larger 26.03-cm digital cockpit.

The sedan also gets a 25.6-cm touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Its voice assistant uses Google Cloud’s Automotive AI Agent and supports hands-free functions.

Safety features include six airbags and more than 25 active and passive safety features as standard. The Slavia retains its five-star Global NCAP safety rating.

Skoda is offering the new Slavia with a four-year or 1 lakh-km warranty, four years of roadside assistance and four free labour services.
