Nani seeks nod for ‘The Paradise’ premiere with fans; Revanth asks him to apply to police
Hyderabad: Telugu actor Nani has sought permission from Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Telangana Police to watch the premiere of his latest film The Paradise with fans at a theatre in RTC Cross Roads in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

In a post on X, Nani called the request as one from a fan of cinema, stating that watching films with audiences had always been special to him and that RTC X Roads held a unique place in Hyderabad’s film culture. “I would love to visit a theatre at RTC X Roads for #TheParadise premiere show (23rd Sept) and experience the film with our audience, the very people we made it for,” he wrote.
Nani said the ultimate satisfaction of making a film was sitting among the audience and experiencing their response first-hand. Assuring the authorities that safety would be his priority, he said, “We will follow all the necessary protocols and safety guidelines in place.”
Responding to his request, Revanth Reddy asked Nani to submit an official application to the designated local police station. “We appreciate your respect for safety guidelines and your commitment for the film directed by our talented young Telangana director. To ensure seamless crowd management and public safety, please submit an official application to the designated local police station,” he said, adding that the concerned team would review it and take a decision.
The exchange comes amid heightened attention around celebrity appearances at crowded theatre premieres in Hyderabad. In December 2024, a woman, Revathi, died and her young son, Sri Tej, was seriously injured during a crowd surge outside Sandhya Theatre at RTC Cross Roads, where Allu Arjun visited the theatre for his movie “Pushpa 2: The Rule” screening. Subsequently, the police registered cases against Allu Arjun, the movie team and the theatre management.
Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise generated a lot of buzz and is scheduled for worldwide release on Thursday. The Congress government also approved a special premiere show on Wednesday, with a ticket price of Rs 500 including GST.
