LPG e-KYC Deadline August 16, 2026: How to Complete Aadhaar Verification Online
The last date to complete the mandatory Aadhaar-based e-KYC for domestic LPG gas cylinders (Bharat Gas, HP Gas, and Indane) is August 16, 2026. Completing this verification is necessary to avoid disruptions in subsidised domestic pricing or direct benefit transfer subsidies.

How to Complete LPG e-KYC
• Online App: Download your provider’s official mobile application (Bharatgas, HP Pay or Indane Oil ONE), install the Aadhaar FaceRD app on your phone, and select the face authentication/e-KYC option.
• In-Person: Visit your local gas distributor or agency with your Aadhaar card and gas passbook/consumer ID to complete the biometric fingerprint
To complete your LPG e-KYC using a mobile app, you must install two specific applications on an Android smartphone: the official app from your gas provider and the official government face recognition software. (Ensure that your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar card, as you will need to receive an OTP).
How to Complete LPG e-KYC App
1. Install the Required Apps:
Open the Google Play Store on an Android phone/ App Store on iPhone
Download and install the Aadhaar FaceRD (Early Access) App developed by the UIDAI. (Note: This app will not show an icon on your home screen, as it runs in the background).
Download and install your specific LPG provider app:
– Indane Gas: IndianOil One App
– HP Gas: HP Pay App
– Bharat Gas: Hello BPCL App
2. Register or Log In:
Open your LPG provider app.
Log in using your registered mobile number. If you are a first-time user, sign up using your Consumer ID found on your gas passbook.
3. Initiate e-KYC:
Tap on the menu icon or look directly on the dashboard for Link Aadhaar or e-KYC.
Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar Number when prompted.
4. Perform Face Authentication:
The app will automatically launch the Aadhaar FaceRD camera interface.
Hold your phone steady at eye level in a well-lit room.
Blink your eyes when prompted by the app to capture the live scan.
5. Submit OTP Verification:
Enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-registered mobile number to complete the process.
You will see a message on your screen confirming that your e-KYC has been submitted for approval.
