Lokesh Kanagaraj’s DC Enters 100 Crore Club
Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is better known as an ace filmmaker, outperformed as an actor with his DC movie. Along with the Kollywood biggies, even Telugu star actors like Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun heaped praises on Lokesh’s amazing screen presence and engaging storyline.

Of late, the movie has now crossed the ₹100 crore gross mark and officially entered the ₹100 crore club. Till now, he has previously appeared in Master, Singapore Saloon, Kattalan and Jana Nayakan movies in small cameo roles but with DC, he entered the zone as a complete lead actor and with very first film as a full-fledged protagonist he crossed the 100-crore mark.
DC being a romantic action drama, has Wamiqa Gabbi and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy in the prominent roles. The story revolves around Das (a gangster) and Chandra (a brutalised sex worker). They together wage a bloody war of revenge against the corrupt police officers. One more engaging element of this movie was music. Anirudh delivered his best and his BGM elevated several action sequences.
On the whole, Lokesh has an impressive entry as a lead actor and this weekend will further boost the collections of the positive word of mouth continues. Coming to his work front, he will next collaborate with Tollywood’s ace actor Allu Arjun for a complete action thriller.
According to the sources, this movie might go on the floors by the end of this year and might may not feature a conventional female lead. Even a source close to Lokesh confirmed that Allu Arjun will portray a complete different role in this movie, “They wanted to make sure the look feels fresh and unlike anything audiences have seen from Allu Arjun before. And at the same time, the look should truly represent the character they want to showcase. AA23 is set to surprise the audience in a big way, and this look is going to become iconic”.
Not to forget, even this magnum opus will have Anirudh’s tunes. As of now, Lokesh has excelled as a lead actor and next year, we will witness him in the director’s role.
