Lakshya FA storm to Hyderabad Golden Cup title

Hyderabad: Lakshya FA scored an easy 6-1 win over Hyderabad FA in the final of the Hyderabad Golden Cup 2026 women’s football tournament at Jubilee Hills here.

Renuka, Aruna and Poojitha scored a brace each for the winners, while Ira was the lone scorer for Hyderabad FA.

Best Scorer: Poojitha (Lakshya Football Academy) – 12 goals
Best Goalkeeper: Bhagyamma (Lakshya Football Academy)
Best Player: Wajhiya
Emerging Player: Ira (Hyderabad Football Academy)
Promising Player: Jiys (BPHC)

Telangana Football Association secretary G.P. Palguna and Sports Authority of India athletics coach N. Ramesh gave away the prizes.
